Rio Marathon

I'll be in Rio for a little less than a week, when the Rio Marathon will be run, right through our front yard! June 28th there will be a mob of runners going from Macumba, down through Ipanema, right down our road, down Copacabana and finishing in Botafogo! How exciting! Here's a map so you can get a better idea of where we live and where the Marathon will take place:

And we're back!

It's been a few months, but it's time to start the Brazil Blog again! Clay is back in Rio and glad to be there. I think all the stress about the project faded the minute he was back and saw the beach! Yesterday he told me he spent the day getting settled in our apartment (the same one we were in last time), walking around the city, grocery shopping, and he even made some American Expat friends at dinner. Didn't take him long to get back in the swing of things!

I plan to be going back the 22nd of this month and will spend three months there with Clay. Then we will both fly back for Lyndi's wedding and depending on how much longer Clay has on the project, we'll go back together, or I'll stay here.

It sounds like this time around, we're going to have quite a few visitors from home and I can't wait to show them around Rio! Hope you enjoy reading about our time in Rio, part deux!
